Earthquake of magnitude 5.1 registered near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on July 30

A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky on Thursday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which hit the area at 21:53 UTC (09:53 local time), was centered roughly 67 km east of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It occurred at a depth of 64 km.
