OCOS, San Marcos Department — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Ocós on Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which hit the region at 14:55 UTC (08:55 local time), was centered about 87 km south-southwest of Ocós. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
