A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred near Kupang on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 10:57 UTC (18:57 local time). The epicenter was about 25 km northwest of Kupang, at a depth of 10 km.
