The advisory was in place for Denver and the Eastern Plains.

“Temperatures have cooled below the advisory thresholds. Metro Denver and areas along the South Platte River Valley are slightly lagged with some readings still in the 90s, but will continue to cool through the evening,” says the National Weather Service.

• Boulder/Jefferson counties below 6,000 feet/West Broomfield County

• North Douglas County below 6,000 feet/Denver/West Adams and Arapahoe counties/East Broomfield County

• Elbert/central and east Douglas counties above 6,000 feet

• Northeast Weld County

• Central and South Weld County

• Central and East Adams and Arapahoe counties

• North and Northeast Elbert County below 6,000 feet/North Lincoln County

• Southeast Elbert County below 6,000 feet/South Lincoln County

• Morgan County

• Logan County

• Washington County

• Sedgwick County

• Phillips County
