A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Xunchang on Wednesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 23:44 UTC (07:44 local time), a tremor struck the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter about 14 km north of Xunchang.
