Update: Seismic activity on July 5 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake near Coquimbo, Chile reported

A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Coquimbo on Sunday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 15:53 UTC (10:53 local time), with its epicenter approximately 96 km northwest of Coquimbo and a depth of 10 km.
