A 5.0 magnitude quake rattled near Mianzhu, Deyang, Sichuan on Sunday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 15:30 UTC (23:30 local time). The epicenter was roughly 30 km north-northwest of Mianzhu, Deyang, Sichuan, at a depth of 10 km.

The agency has so far received 10 reports via its online form from people who report they felt weak shaking. Several residents reported experiencing the quake in and around the Chengdu area according to the USGS DYFI report.

Last week’s tremor

One more earthquake with a magnitude 4.9 was detected in the area. It was also reported near Mianzhu, Deyang, Sichuan prior to this quake.
