Mountain Fire initially started today at 4:05 p.m. in Modoc County, California.

Since its discovery two hours ago, it has burned 4.4 acres of federal land managed by the United States Forest Service, an increase of four acres since the last update. It is believed that the fire was naturally caused. There is currently no information on the containment of the fire.
