Update: Earthquake of 5.2 magnitude detected close to Kirakira, Solomon Islands on June 27

A 5.2 magnitude quake jolted near Kirakira on Saturday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The USGS reported a tremor in the region at 11:23 UTC (22:23 local time). The epicenter was roughly 135 km east of Kirakira, at a depth of 10 km.
