Update: Seismic activity on May 16 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake close to Port-Vila, Vanuatu reported

A 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to Port-Vila on Saturday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 12:59 UTC (23:59 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter roughly 92 km east of Port-Vila.
