REJANG LEBONG REGENCY, Bengkulu — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Curup on Friday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
At 11:08 UTC (18:08 local time), a tremor jolted the area at a depth of 113 km, with its epicenter approximately 14 km north-northwest of Curup. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.1 event, but later downgraded it to 5.0.
