PISCO PROVINCE, Ica — A 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Paracas on Saturday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor shook the area at 20:14 UTC (15:14 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 82 km south-southwest of Paracas and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
