FOA, Ha’apai — A 5.0 magnitude quake hit near Fangale’ounga on Tuesday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At 15:16 UTC (03:16 local time), a tremor jolted the region at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter roughly 105 km east of Fangale’ounga.
