Update: April 8 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded close to Indian-Antarctic Ridge

A 5.0 magnitude quake jolted near Indian-Antarctic Ridge on Wednesday night, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor shook the area at 15:14 UTC (23:14 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was west of Indian-Antarctic Ridge and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
