Update: Earthquake of 5.1 magnitude detected close to Bitung, Indonesia on April 2

A 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Bitung on Thursday around midnight, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

The tremor, which hit the area at 15:34 UTC (00:34 local time), was centered about 135 km east of Bitung. It occurred at a depth of 35 km.
