Update: April 1 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake reported near Waisai, Indonesia

A 5.3 magnitude quake struck close to Waisai on Wednesday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook at 12:14 UTC (21:14 local time), with its epicenter about 84 km west of Waisai and a depth of 10 km. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.1 but later upgraded to 5.3.
