Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 strikes area close to Amagi, Japan on March 29

OSHIMA DISTRICT, Kagoshima — A 5.1 magnitude quake jolted near Amagi on Sunday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor hit the region at 07:07 UTC (16:07 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was roughly 77 km west-northwest of Amagi and occurred at a depth of 10 km.
