According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.1 magnitude quake struck close to Vilyuchinsk on Sunday morning.

The tremor hit at 17:23 UTC (04:23 local time), with its epicenter about 180 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 10 km.
