5.2 magnitude earthquake registered near the Kuril Islands on Feb. 25

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred close to the Kuril Islands Wednesday morning.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 22:40 UTC (08:40 local time). The epicenter was located east of the Kuril Islands, at a depth of 10 km.
