Jan. 28: Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude registered close to Sangay, Philippines

A 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded near Sangay Wednesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor, which struck the area at 08:35 UTC (16:35 local time), was centered approximately 47 km west of Sangay. It occurred at a depth of 10 km.
