Update: Earthquake measuring 5.0 rattles area close to Pariaman, Indonesia on Feb. 16

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake shook close to Pariaman at midday on Monday.

At 06:00 UTC (13:00 local time), the region was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 81 km, with its epicenter about 92 km west-northwest of Pariaman.
