DAVAO ORIENTAL, Davao Region — Saturday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was registered near Pondaguitan, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
At 17:23 UTC (01:23 local time), the region was jolted by a tremor. The earthquake struck at a depth of 67 km, with its epicenter roughly 131 km southeast of Pondaguitan. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later downgraded it to 5.2.
