Update: Seismic activity on Feb. 9 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake close to Vilyuchinsk, Russia recorded

A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Vilyuchinsk Monday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 05:09 UTC (16:09 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter located about 185 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later downgraded to 5.1.
