Update: Earthquake jolts region near Ascension Island region on Jan. 28 – 5.2 magnitude recorded

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake occurred near Ascension Island region Wednesday morning.

At 02:58 UTC (01:58 local time), the area was hit by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 10 km, with its epicenter of Ascension Island region.
