Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 reported near the Fiji Islands on Jan. 25

NAITASIRI, Central Division — Sunday afternoon, a 5.2 magnitude quake was registered close to the Fiji Islands, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor struck the area at 04:13 UTC (16:13 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located south of the Fiji Islands and occurred at a depth of 510 km.
