QALANSIYAH WA ABD AL KURI, Socotra — Wednesday morning, a 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded near Qalansīyah, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor shook the region at 01:05 UTC (05:05 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 192 km north of Qalansīyah, at a depth of 10 km.

Last week, one more magnitude 5.0 quake was centered in the area. The event was reported near Qalansīyah too, prior to this quake.
