Update: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude detected close to Carlsberg Ridge on Jan. 20

A 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded near Carlsberg Ridge Tuesday afternoon, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor jolted the region at 11:14 UTC (15:14 local time). The epicenter was located of Carlsberg Ridge, at a depth of 10 km.
