Update: Earthquake of 5.0 magnitude reported near Gorontalo, Indonesia on Dec. 20

POHUWATO REGENCY, Gorontalo — Saturday afternoon, a 5.0 magnitude quake was recorded close to Gorontalo, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor jolted the area at 10:33 UTC (18:33 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 126 km west of Gorontalo and occurred at a depth of 122 km.
