Dec. 10: Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude reported near Panguna, Papua New Guinea

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.3 magnitude quake occurred close to Panguna Wednesday night.

The tremor shook at 13:30 UTC (23:30 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 69 km west of Panguna and a depth of 107 km.
