Thursday morning, a 5.2 magnitude quake was detected close to Yamada, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the area at 19:58 UTC (05:58 local time). It occurred at a depth of 10 km with the epicenter situated approximately 137 km east of Yamada. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.3 but later downgraded to 5.2.
