Update: Seismic activity on Nov. 5 – 5.1 magnitude earthquake close to East Pacific Rise registered

Wednesday afternoon, a 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded near East Pacific Rise, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A tremor jolted the area at 00:33 UTC (17:33 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was situated south of East Pacific Rise and occurred at a depth of 10 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
