TARLAC, Central Luzon — Saturday afternoon, a 5.0 magnitude quake was reported close to Santa Juliana, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 09:32 UTC (17:32 local time), with its epicenter located about 11 km south of Santa Juliana and a depth of 126 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 4.9 event, but later upgraded it to 5.0.
