Update: Earthquake measuring 5.1 jolts area close to Maumere, Indonesia on Oct. 20

A 5.1 magnitude quake was recorded close to Maumere around midnight Monday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck the region at 16:16 UTC (00:16 local time). It occurred at a depth of 533 km with the epicenter located approximately 159 km north of Maumere. The magnitude was originally reported as 5.0 but later upgraded to 5.1.
