The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Bobon Sunday afternoon.

At 07:28 UTC (15:28 local time), the region was hit by a tremor. The earthquake shook at a depth of 194 km, with its epicenter about 59 km southeast of Bobon.

According to the USGS DYFI report, weak shaking was recorded and several people in Buayan and the surrounding area reported feeling the earthquake.
