The NWS Fort Worth TX issued an updated weather alert at 1:19 p.m. on Saturday for strong thunderstorms until 2 p.m. The alert is for Dallas, Rockwall and Kaufman counties.

Wind gusts of up to 30 mph and pea-sized hail (0.25 inches) are foreseen.

According to the NWS, at 1:18 p{dot}m{dot}, Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Hutchins, moving east at 20 mph. Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
