The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake struck close to Manay Friday afternoon.

The tremor jolted at 07:24 UTC (15:24 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 42 km east-southeast of Manay and a depth of 63 km.

Last week, there have been 12 tremors of magnitude 2.5 or greater centered nearby, four of them larger than magnitude 5.5. The biggest, a 7.4 magnitude quake, slammed close to Santiago prior to this quake.
