Update: Sept. 27 – 5.0 magnitude earthquake recorded near Isangel, Vanuatu

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.0 magnitude quake occurred close to Isangel Saturday evening.

The tremor shook at 09:49 UTC (20:49 local time), with its epicenter located roughly 23 km west-southwest of Isangel and a depth of 128 km.
