Monday morning, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Vilyuchinsk, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor struck at 17:13 UTC (04:13 local time), with its epicenter located about 164 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 23 km. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.3 event, but later downgraded it to 5.1.
