The National Hurricane Center’s 10 a.m. Sunday advisory reported that Tropical Storm Gabrielle is in the Atlantic Ocean, 390 miles southeast of Bermuda. With maximum sustained winds of 65 mph, the system is moving to the northwest at 12 mph.
“… the center of Gabrielle is expected to pass east of Bermuda on Monday”, forecasters noted. They also said “Gabrielle is expected to become a hurricane later today, and rapid intensification is possible over the next day or so.”
