Update: Earthquake measuring 5.2 shakes area close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia on Sept. 19

A 5.2 magnitude quake was detected near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor struck at 15:37 UTC (02:37 local time), with its epicenter located about 132 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and a depth of 35 km.
