According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 5.9 magnitude quake occurred near Ozernovskiy Friday morning.

The tremor jolted the area at 14:55 UTC (02:55 local time). It occurred at a depth of 84 km with the epicenter situated approximately 90 km east of Ozernovskiy.
