TAMARUGAL, Tarapacá — A 5.5 magnitude quake was reported near La Tirana Friday morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The tremor hit the area at 04:55 UTC (01:55 local time). It occurred at a depth of 96 km with the epicenter located roughly 42 km east-northeast of La Tirana.
