Update: Seismic activity on Sept. 8 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake close to Dinagat, Philippines detected

A 5.3 magnitude quake was recorded near Dinagat Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

A tremor hit the area at 18:52 UTC (02:52 local time). The earthquake’s epicenter was located roughly 10 km west-southwest of Dinagat and occurred at a depth of 144 km.
