Tuesday night, a 5.1 magnitude quake was registered close to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The tremor shook the region at 11:25 UTC (22:25 local time). It occurred at a depth of 35 km with the epicenter situated approximately 134 km east-southeast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Seismologists first reported it as a 5.0 event, but later upgraded it to 5.1.
