ZEBAK, Badakhshan — the U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.1 magnitude quake occurred close to Ashkāsham Wednesday afternoon.
The tremor, which struck the area at 13:27 UTC (17:57 local time), was centered about 35 km southwest of Ashkāsham. It occurred at a depth of 128 km.
