Mcdonald Fire initially started today at 8:02 a.m. in Jackson County, California.

It has burned five acres of federal land managed by the United States Forest Service after being active for 11 hours, an increase of five acres since the last update. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.
