NIUATOPUTAPU, Niuas — A 5.1 magnitude quake was registered near Hihifo Saturday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.

It was reported that a tremor struck the region at 15:49 UTC (04:49 local time). The epicenter was located approximately 219 km southeast of Hihifo, at a depth of 10 km.
