Update: Earthquake hits region near Vilyuchinsk, Russia on Aug. 18 – 5.2 magnitude registered

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake shook close to Vilyuchinsk Monday night.

The tremor struck at 10:12 UTC (21:12 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 199 km south-southeast of Vilyuchinsk and a depth of 10 km.
