Update: 5.2 magnitude earthquake recorded near Severo-Kuril’sk, Russia on July 29

The U.S. Geological Survey reported that a 5.2 magnitude quake shook close to Severo-Kuril’sk Tuesday morning.

The tremor hit at 23:54 UTC (10:54 local time), with its epicenter situated roughly 212 km east of Severo-Kuril’sk and a depth of 10 km.
