Update: July 18 – 5.3 magnitude earthquake reported southeast of the Loyalty Islands

LIFOU, Loyalty Islands Province — Friday night, a 5.3 magnitude quake was registered southeast of the Loyalty Islands, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

It was reported that a tremor hit the region at 11:27 UTC (22:27 local time). The epicenter was located southeast of the Loyalty Islands of southeast of the Loyalty Islands, at a depth of 10 km.
